Anthony Krklinski
Why this Industry?
Over the years I slowly fell
into a passion for training & nutrition so it's more like the
industry found me.
What results have you
achieved? And do you have testimonials?
I've been there and done it
myself and my knowledge reflects on my happy clients, as long as
they work hard!
How do you keep up to date
on health and fitness research?
Health & Fitness is a science,
there are the fundamentals & basics that will always stay the same
but also there is a lot of knew research being performed so I always
keep up to date with the latest accredited studies.
How do you decide on what
type of training I need?
We first discuss what you want
to achieve and how you are willing to achieve this and then we take
it from there.

amazing. Not all about weight loss but gaining strength.

loving it. Constantly looking for next generation workouts.

Eliza De Cesare
Background? Why this Industry?
After
completing my undergrad degree in Exercise & Sport Science, I knew
that I wanted to work with those who weren't the sport buffs, but
those who sought a healthy lifestyle but perhaps felt daunted by the
thought of joining a gym or felt that they didn't have the support
on knowledge behind them to go it alone. I am now currently
completing my Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology and have
excellent resources to ensure successful lifestyle changes, while
still taking into consideration all those old niggles that we're
often apprehensive about stirring with new exercise endeavours.
What results have you achieved?
And do you have testimonials?
Exercise is a medicine, and as such, should be prescribed with the
correct dosage. Anatomy and physiology underpin exercise
prescription, and my study in both these key areas mean everything I
prescribe is evidence-based and proven to achieve the results you're
after. The clients I've worked with have all found me to be very
insightful and love my approach to exercise and lifestyle
modification. Exercise doesn't and shouldn't have to be a chore to
achieve your goals.
How do you keep up to date on health and fitness research?
Being
in the university system, I have easy access to all the latest
exercise and health journals. I am also a member of Exercise &
Sports Science Australia, who are always filling my inbox with the
latest research and exercise prescription protocols.
How do you decide on what type of training I need?
You
are the expert in your own life, so we'll be building your program
together! The end result is sure to be individualised, realistic,
appropriate and achievable, and I'll make sure you have the
resources to be confident enough in yourself to achieve your goals.
Rachel Riley
Background/Why this
Industry?
I was raised around health and fitness and while it was never
something I was actively involved in, the gym was a normal part of
life. During my teens I began to struggle with my weight and a
shoulder injury and my parents decided I should start training with
my dad and so I began boxing. I headed off to uni and dabbled in
kickboxing, strength training, running, crossfit and more boxing to
keep fit and push my limits. I never really thought of it as a
career though, until my mum, who has arthritis, joined a gym in the
country and was injured because she wasn't getting the care she
should have. It was then that I decided I'd get my qualifications -
I believe everyone should be able to go into a gym and train
safely.
What results have
you achieved?
And do you have
testimonials?
I train clients from many different backgrounds, with different
goals. I have a roller derby girl who trains hard three times a week
on skates - I never thought I'd be able to make her 'feel' one of my
sessions! However, after the first week, her friends were requesting
sessions with me. One client had no idea what a 'burpee' was and
struggled to complete a single, fluid movement. Now, she's pushing
them out as her rest between boxing rounds!
How do you keep up
to date on health and fitness research?
I
read a lot of information and scientific studies regarding
nutrition, best training methods, most effective exercises for
specific needs and I seek out others who have been in the industry
longer than I have and have different backgrounds. I currently have
a CrossFit mentor who has been in the industry for over a decade so
I'm constantly picking his brain too! I'm not afraid to ask
questions. And, I'm constantly using myself as my own guinea pig.
How do you decide
on what type of training I need?
I listen to what my clients want to achieve, I do a basic fitness
test to see where they're at and I continually reassess their
fitness levels.

Why this industry?
This
industry allows me to be a part of the process of motivating people
to better their fitness and the way they view themselves. I love
watching the change in my clients as they meet and exceed their
goals. As I have been a regular patron of local fitness centres over
the last 15 years it is great delight to be able to bring what I
have learnt on my own journey to help others on theirs.
What results have you achieved?
From
weight loss to competition fitness for amateur athletes and sport
specific exercise, clients that are consistent in their fitness
regime and determined in their purposes have achieved results with
me.
How do you keep up to date on health and fitness research?
I
network with fitness professionals, including industry veterans from
the fields of physiotherapy, group fitness, personal training and
fitness & conditioning. For continued education I attend workshops,
fitness conventions and read the latest research papers.
How do you decide on what type of training I need?
Training is very specific from person to person. After determining
needs and goals of a client I can then develop an appropriate, fun
and challenging training program.

courses and seminars that I feel will add value to my training and
the results my clients can achieve.

How do you decide on what type of training I need?
I
believe in the importance of strength training to some degree for
ALL people, regardless of health and fitness levels, goals or prior
experience. Tailoring programs to specifically suit the physical or
personal differences amongst clients is important to ensure optimal
results and keeping my clients motivated and enjoying the health and

Why
have you moved in to this industry?
After being an elite
athlete myself and swim coach, I decided to complement my current
experience and qualifications with a specific qualification in
fitness. I love living a healthy, active lifestyle myself, and
being able to assist others achieve their individual goals (no
matter what they are) is both a blessing and a privilege.
What
is your experience in the Industry?
My experience in the
fitness industry includes coaching swimming for the past ten years.
I have coached at a competitive swimming club, as well as
triathletes and masters swimmers, and have taught stroke correction
courses and squads. I have taught a range of abilities from
beginners with little or no previous experience, to elite athletes
competing in international competitions.
What
results have you achieved?
And
do you have testimonials?
I have previously been
a competitive swimmer, achieving a high level of success. I have
trained swimmers in and out of the pool, increasing their strength

knowledge about the fitness industry. I continue my professional
reading through publications, such as journals and health and
fitness magazines, as well as continuing education about relevant
and interesting areas within the fitness industry. Another main way
of learning more, and keeping up to date, is by using the wealth of
experience of other trainers around me.
What
kind of motivational techniques do you use to help your clients
reach their goals?
Each client is
different, and I adjust my motivational techniques to match the
client’s needs. I try to share my knowledge, teaching clients the
who/what/where/why/how of exercise, empowering clients to share the
journey to achieve and surpass their goals.
Can
you give me Nutritional advice?
Yes, I can give you
nutritional advice. I have been an elite athlete, so had to closely
monitor my diet. On top of my own training and experience, I have
studied some nutrition. My philosophy is everything in moderation,
however happy to give out strict advice if that's what the client
wants.
How
do you decide on what type of training I need?
Through consultation
with each individual client, we can discuss goals, availability to
train, injuries, nutrition, types of exercise, individual
likes/dislikes, and other relevant information to create a program
to achieve each client’s goals.

Why this Industry?
Doing something that is a passion for yourself and passing that
passion on to other people while changing there life at the same
time, need I say more? There is no other industry I can think of
that you can enrich your own and somebody else's life by passing on
your knowledge to them and change them not only physically but
mentally.
And do you have testimonials?
Yes, I have a vast array of testimonials that are constantly being
updated with each of my clients successes.
How do you keep up to date on health and fitness research?
Knowledge is the key in any field, constantly updating your own
knowledge in the fitness industry is vital to staying on top and
giving my clients the edge. Not only am I there to train but also to
educate.
How do you decide on what type of training I need?
Every person is put through a consultation and fitness assessment.
Identifying there weaknesses and developing them as one of there
strengths. Your goals are then analysed and a plan is organised on
how we together can reach that goal in the shortest period of time.
Its about changing YOUR life.
Michael
Touhy
What results have you achieved? And do you have testimonials?
In the
years that I have been a Personal Trainer and Advanced Fitness
Coach, I have had clients that have lost up to 30kgs of fat, some
have gained 8-10kg of muscle, and some clients I have introduced to
new training stimulus to keep them motivated, and continually
progressing. Every client has different circumstances and different
goals, and I do my best for us to achieve them together. Some of my
more disciplined clients have achieved goals very quickly, one
client losing 13cm off her waist in 5 weeks, simply from eating
sensible, and a structured training program.
How do you keep up to date on health and fitness research?
Well, its
my passion and my job, so I am constantly exposed and looking for
new ideas, and research findings that can help my clients.
What kind of motivational techniques do you use to help your clients
reach their goals?
I have
found that a lot of clients feel a lack of direction on the way to
achieving their goals, so I help with providing a sensible structure
within their lifestyle to keep them keep on track, once they see the
results, it's pretty easy to keep them motivated.
Can you give me Nutritional advice?
It's very easy to advise a client how to eat well, but putting it
into practice in a modern lifestyle is often quite difficult, so for
the clients that are serious about their goals, I provide up to 50
recipes of dishes and the ideal times to eat them that are easy to
prepare, and delicious. Making their job a little easier, for the
many hours that they don't spend in the gym each week.
How do you decide on what type of training I need?
There isn't
a one-solution-fits-all with any of my clients. but with experience,
many people fall into similar traps, due to my experience, I have
dealt with an array of needs and wants. I've trained clients from 14
years of age through to 70 years; and can normally pinpoint the best
routes for each client to take to achieve their goals.

Servinis
Why this Industry?
I have been involved
in fitness my entire life. Besides having a passion and love for
fitness, it has made my life better in so many ways. If I can
achieve so much in my life, why not help others succeed in achieving
their goals. I have a never die attitude and believe that it all
starts with the mind. If you believe in something enough, you 'can'
achieve it! when I train a client, I treat it as it is my own
challenge and goal.
What results have
you achieved?
And do you have
testimonials?
I have a background in
competitive Muay Thai martial arts.
I have helped people
in many aspects of health and fitness, everything from strength,
weight gain/loss, sports specific and rehabilitation. Yes I have a
consistency of having positive testimonials from each and every one
of my clients.
How do you keep up
to date on health and fitness research?
My research in fitness
and nutrition is constantly being updated in various ways. I'm
always attending fitness seminars, reading books and training
with other fitness professionals. Everything I have trained with my
clients, I have endured my self.
How
do you decide on what type of training I need?
After a short
discussion on my clients goals and past training history, I would
give a postural analysis and basic fitness test. I would take them
through various forms of training to find my clients weaknesses and
strengths and fine tune them into an un-stoppable fitness
machine!! My clients don't just get results, they get a life
changing experience.
